| Calis Beach |
|
Calis (in Turkish "Çaliş" & pronounced "Chalish", is a quiet yet busy holiday resort, with a seemingly endless beach. Bars and restaurants line the beach area, which is block paved along the seafront. The resort is very flat, so is ideal for people with mobility restrictions. Calis has it's own waterpark too. Parts of the beach are also popular with the local turtle population, who come in to lay their eggs in the sand. Calis also boasts two very natural attractions - a cooling breeze, perfect for when the local temperatures soar in the summer months, and you can see what the other one is - Calis is famous for some of the most beautiful sunsets in the World. |

| Dalaman |
|
Dalaman is far more than an airport - alongside the site of the proposed new golf complex at Sarigerme, this part of the South West Coast of Turkey boasts some amazing beaches, and very much an up and coming area where prices are still very attractive.
Indeed, Channel 4's "A Place in the Sun" Magazine said the following of Dalaman:
"One of the hottest tips would be the region around Dalaman. The Turkish government is committed to making this area one of Turkeys top tourist destinations. This is being achieved through rapid investment in the region and the commissioning of several significant development projects.
These include expanding Dalaman airport, building three marinas and the regions first golf course. Since these projects are still in the early stages of implementation, prices have not yet reacted, so we would say that Dalaman is definitely one of Turkeys hottest tips for future growth. |

| Fethiye |
|
Fethiye is the main harbour and marina town that is within easy striking distance of other local resorts such as Calis, Hisaronu, Olu Deniz and Uzumlu. It is a beautiful town with plenty of history to explore.
With numerous secluded bays and coves with deep blue waters around Fethiye, it is no surprise that there is a great choice in boat trips and scuba diving excursions.
There is also a great choice when it comes to shopping, eating out and for nightlife. |

| Gocek |
|
Set at the north-west end of the Gulf of Fethiye, Gocek is blessed with magnificent scenery. Backed by majestic mountains and substantial pine forests it looks out over the Twelve Islands, which provide shelter for Gocek's almost circular bay that has made the village such a perfect, natural harbour. Lured by such perfection, the yachting community has long made Gocek a favourite, and it is also a popular stop for gullet cruises.
Perhaps this explains Gocek's impressive range of facilities for a place that remains so blissfully unspoiled: there are only a handful of small hotels and pensions, yet all along the wide, landscaped promenade that fringes the quayside, there are plenty of eateries, from simple cafes to excellent restaurants specializing in delicious fresh fish. In the back streets and around the old village square by the mosque, there is a surprising array of interesting craft shops.
From the harbour you can take boat trips around the Twelve Islands and a boat is also the natural choice of transport to reach Gocek's beaches, the nearest of which lies just a little further around the bay. An enjoyable, 20-minute trip - which is provided daily free of charge for Simply Turkey guests - takes you to an immensely picturesque cove on Gocek Island, where you can feel like Robinson Crusoe for the day!

| Hisaronu |
|
Hisaronu sits above both Fethiye in one direction, and the World famous Olu Deniz and Blue Lagoon in the other.
Definitely the livliest resort in the Fethiye region, Hisaronu has numerous bars, clubs and restaurants in it's centre, which is pedestrianised in season.
Just a short bus ride down to the beach, local Dolmus (minibuses) pass every few minutes.
Hisaronu is very popular with people looking to let their hair down and have a lively holiday, but has also become popular with people looking to buy abroad - away from the centre it is quiet, and with mountain views and protected pine forests surrounding, it is beautifully fresh and tranquil. |

| Kalkan |
|
A small peaceful Mediterranean resort and fishing town on the beautiful Turquoise Coast of Turkey, Kalkan has not been touched by mass tourism. More sophisticated than the usual resort town, Kalkan appeals to travelers looking for more than a "sun and sea" holiday. According to the Sunday Times, Kalkan attracts the kind of visitor who would also enjoy Tuscany or the Dordogne.
The Guardian likens the town to "the Italian Riviera minus the poseurs." |

|
| Ovacik |
|
Situated on a high plateau, 4km from the coast and surrounded by stunning mountains, Ovacik is the laid back neighbour of livley Hisaronu.
The nearest beaches are the famous lagoon of Ölüdeniz or the pebble and sand beach of Belçekiz. A dolmus (bus) leaves every five or ten minutes.
There are plenty of restaurants and bars, generally low key and relaxed, with the option of livier nights just down the road in Hisaronu. |

|
| Uzumlu |
|
Uzumlu is a beautifully traditional Turkish village, on and around a plateau just 20 minutes drive from Fethiye.
Surrounded by breathtaking mountain views, the pure air and cooler temperatures have made Uzumlu very popular both with people looking for a retreat with absolute peace and tranquility, and those looking to retire.
There are shops, bars (wine houses) and restaurants in Uzumlu, with Fethiye being within very easy reach.
